With Grandad and Aunt Zoe at Christmas!
It was nice to stop at the in-laws on Friday night for dinner (I took the weekend off from food pic) we had English Sausages and Chips. Love English sausage.
We watched Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution then went to bed. In the morning we woke up and had some breakfast. Chobani with blueberries and English Tea for me before heading out.
I also took the weekend off my 10 lb Slimdown (this is actually huge for me to go 2 days with no real exercise but it felt good and as you will see we did a lot of walking)
We stopped at Dunkin Donuts (which are EVERYWHERE in Boston) before getting to the hotel and I grabbed a Latte. We got to the hotel then hopped on the T and headed straight down to the Freedom Trail.
So yummy and Hubby and our friend Jenna and I split some fries. (I actually was proud of myself this weekend, I packed a water bottle and some bars to keep us eating healthy as much as possible!)
Then we took a picture outside the Cheers Bar:
Before heading back out on the Trail
Our Tour ticket
Tasting glass (which you get to keep) with 1 of three samples (hubby had most of time, but I did taste them all).
Our Boston Friends Jenna and Mike.
Then we took our ticket to a bar to get a beer and a Free Pint Glass!
Love Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, this I did drink!
Then we grabbed a quick dinner, changes and headed to Gillette Stadium for a soccer game. It was cool to see where Tom and the Patriots play (and I wore my Brady shirt!)
And Jenna and I played in the gift shop!
We had a great day in Boston and left on Sunday before the rain showed up! Check out the huge bowl of oats that I got at the hotel in the AM!
I added the PB and some milk to make them creamer and gave half the muffin to hubby.
On the way back to the in-laws in CT we stop at the outlets and did some shopping.
Is it sad the only thing I wanted to buy was at the Huge Chocolate Sale at Lindt? We got 100 truffles in different flavors and put them in smaller bags to share with the fam. Plus we got another 2 lb bag of chocolate for free! We grabbed lunch at the outlets (as well as tried some chocolates).
That was our fun New England weekend! Anyone do anything fun this weekend?
oh, lindt, sweet lindt...yum!
